Looking at the tragic and barbaric carnage that unfolded before the
nation on Tuesday afternoon, America witnessed perhaps the most violent
massacre ever recorded by high school students against their own classmates.
No one knows why it happened, but we do know by late evening and early
morning the nation looked on in shock as tv cameras rolled from helicopters,
reporters and photographers shot action shots, but what were they recording?
They recorded terrified students who were running as bombs, explosive
devices, guns and automatic fire was being laid like a war scene from a
Spielberg movie. When it was over 10 young men, three females including
a teacher and the two alleged shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Kiebolt were
dead. All of this happened as students began to run out of Columbine High
School in Littletown CO., an upscale community where expensive homes are
typical as the Beamers and sports cars driven by many of the students.
How could this be?
Just who were the two members calling themselves the Trench Coat
Mafia ? Why weren't they taken more seriously? They have been described
as misfits, weird, and outcast by classmates, but how could they be permitted
to attend school? What do we know about their parents and their history?
Nada! Where did they pick up the racial (minority) hatred and Nazi orientation?
How could this happen in an upscale community? How did they get the weapons,
expertise and proficiency to carry out this massacre? How were these weapons
purchased and how did they obtain the experience to carry this out? How
did they maintain the secrecy?
The big question is how the media is spinning the race question out
of focus and reinterpreting the question of so called 'snapping' youngsters
who lost it for a moment instead of looking for a long drawn out process
of hate and anger. What would have happened it these so-called Trench Coat
Mafia were black? Could they walk around school with this attire? Why is
the media ignoring the words of the shooters when they singled out Minorities
and 'jocks' to kill? What would happen if Blacks walked around and shouted
'Zeig Heil in Black shirts on the 110 anniversary birthday of Adolph
Hitler (Der Fuhrer)? Was this massacre planned for the birthday of
Adolph Hitler (Der Fuhrer)?
What is more disturbing is the conspicuously silence of Black leaders
both local and nationally? Were they told by their white bosses to cool
it? Why has there been no outcry against the massacre and the racist overtones
from Denver Mayor, Wellington Webb, a Blackman? Where is the expressed
sorrow from Lieutenant Governor, Joe Rodgers, also a Blackman? Why has
the Denver Ministerial Alliance been so deathly quiet? When we look at
so called Black leadership, why hasn't there been an outcry from the national
Black leadership charging racism, racial hatred and questioning the climate
and environment from which these students picked up these views? We do
know that Denver was the scene where skinheads killed an African at a bus
stop and paralyzed a Black woman for assisting the fallen African.
Nationally, where is Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. and the Rainbow/Push
Coalition, NAACP National President, Kwesi Mfume, National Urban League
President, and Religious leadership organizations? Or are they waiting
on their call from the 'white folks' to ready their 'why can't we get along
speech' or the singing of 'Amazing Grace' by safe negroes.
Finally, why haven't the so-called sociologist and psychologist dealt
with the rash of hate and authoritarian sexist crimes? On Feb 2, in Moses
Lake, Wash. where a 16 year-old boy kills two students and a teacher; Feb.
19, Betel Ark where a 16 year old boy kills a classmate and a principal;
Oct 1 1997 a 16 year old boy goes to school and kills two girls an wounds
seven other students; Dec. 1 West Paducah, Ky a 14 year old boy kills three
and wounds five others; March 24 1998 Jonesboro, Ark. two boys, 11 and
13 open fire on the crowd, killing four female students and a female teacher
and wounding 10; and Springfield, Ore after killing his parents, a 15 year
old boy enters a high school cafeteria, kills two and wounds 22 others?
Why
is there so little said that these are all white pre-teen and teen males?
Is there a genetic dysfunction?
Why is the race questions related to the background props in the story?
But what do you expect from a nation which exterminated the Native Americans,
enslaved African-Americans, in one form of another for over 400 years in
the name of God, Country and the All mighty dollar?
